been up since 9am yesterday... feel like hell all strung out and edgy. I think we are all like that right now here. this is supposed to be fun but its like visualization during an intervention. sadly I have been sober and feel like this lol. I wanna be at home with my wife, my pets , my bikes, and my bed. atlanta makes me realize why I should never live in the south. I really feel like an alien here, maybe I am just closed up mentally right now. edginess, misunderstanding, and oddness run rampant.

yeah! I do not suck!
A friend of mine and I went Schaeffer farm to go riding yesterday and the heat destroyed me. I was literally pouring sweat and wanted to puke. Was not good. I was 99.99% sure it was the heat and not lack of fitness or me sucking, but the thought lingered. Today I went riding with my wife and Pete. WOW what a difference my speed was off the hook and I was using heavier gears. It was great to know I did not suck :) (well at riding at least)

java class
So this week I got to go to a 'intro to programing ' class. Turns out it was a java class, and there were only four of us. I have taken perl classes and others, and oddly this is the only class that made sense. Our teacher was awesome, but so were the others. java just seemed to make more sense. More structured. Anyway, i loved this class and actually learned shit.
The only down side is I was not able to ride for 3 days. After class i went and rode, and wow did I feel it. I hate taking days off from riding, feel like I am starting over, but tomorrow I will be better. In a previous post I drooled all over the Scott Ransom. Well in true Jim fashion I have found another bike... The Scott Spark 30 (at least its the same company). This bike seems a little more appropriate for me. It still has the rear shock control on the handlebars, AND I found out I can get front shock controls also. me like.

Wtf... Evry damn sleeping pill
Wtf... Evry damn sleeping pill on the market and I cannot sleep. Ambien, rozerem, and lunesta. Tylenol pm works better but I feel like shit in
sweetest bike ever
Why do i always find these things when I am broke? Its just sad lol. So I have been looking for a full suspension bike. The main things I have been looking at are price, weight, and versatility. There are a ton out there that are great bikes, Santa Cruz blur, Titus moto-lite, Specialized Stumpy FSR and so on. None have even come close to this bike though. I am talking about The Scott Ransom. This thing comes in many variations the ltd (around $6000) to the Ransom 40 (around 2700). The obvious difference is the higher end ones are carbon fiber and have better components, but all of them are exceptional.
What really makes this the bike for me though is the rear suspension. It is 6.5 inches of travel, that is huge. What makes it better is this. You can adjust it to either 6.5 inches, 3 inches, or you can lock it out. This means you have 3 bikes really in one. Finally the topping on the cake. You can adjust all of this FROM THE HANDLEBAR! Yup on the fly. You can be flying thru nasty downhill rock gardens, then when you hit flat or uphill lock up the rear and climb like a mountain goat. Oh yeah it weighs 31 pounds......

Harpers Ferry
So Saturday Pete and I are going to be riding from Harpers Ferry WV to Georgetown, should be 60 miles. Originally it was gonna be a few more of us, but the logistics of it were a nightmare. Kerri, Petes wife has offered to drop us off and pick us up. If anyone else wants to come feel free to drop me a line. You will have to arrange your drop off and pick up though.
